Here are some images from the art show this past weekend. Couldn’t have asked for better weather and I made a few sales!
There was a bit of a delay in revealing the newest rug as my sister was visiting and with all the fun outings around the city (including a trip to Fibre Fest in Almonte yesterday!) I didn’t get a chance until now. So here it is, the latest rug entitled “Sunset over Grande Entree.”
This past July we spent a week in Iles de la Madeleine, Quebec. Our cottage was on the island of Grande Entree, probably one of the quietest of the islands in the archipelago which is exactly what we like. One evening while watching tv on the gigantic screen at the cottage we noticed the sky was aglow with shades of pink and orange and yellow. Out over the water the wispy clouds took on a purple hue and the whole thing was absolutely beautiful. I snapped a number of photos, knowing that I would use this as the basis of a rug.
The rug measures 15.5″ by 10″ and is available in the Marzipan Road store here.
Just waiting to hear what my booth assignment is for the Old Ottawa South show this coming weekend and I’ll let you know.
